To me, this is why I love design. To take something as everyday and thrown away as a matchbook and create a powerful, communicative statement. Then you have to ask yourself about the value of the process and the IP of the individual who creates it.
This matchbook, for all intensive purposes…was free in terms of dollars and sense, or at the very most 50¢. The value of what the designer has added to it is perhaps, immeasurable. I had to share this piece with you all.
Here's to finding inspiration and creating meaning in the most inconspicuous spaces.

This diamond plate design on the Oregon Ducks football uniforms is smart design. Subconsciously…no one wants to be hit with diamond plate.
