AT&T might be screwing “us”.

June 11th, 2008

iPhone lovers rejoiced at the new price structure for the upcoming 3G iPhones, but those same people will be pissn’ vinegar (as some of my country friends say) when they find out they may see a hike of as much as $15 a month for comparable service with their new phone. I’m not really sure what in the hell AT&T is thinking on this one, but being the sole owner of the iPhone doesn’t get you that much clout.

Their biz plan is jacked up, because obviously they lowered the cost of the phones to interest the non-fanboy crowd and stimulate higher sales numbers, but people aren’t stupid. It is plain to see that realistically, you will be paying MORE than before and then some with the accrued monthly fees. Hell, that’s enough to not only (A) make you stick with your 1st Gen iPhone, but (B) look at Verizon, T-Mobile..etc. and just suck it up with a iPhone rip off phone. After all, the only thing missing from some of these new rip-offs is a little bit of sexy and MORE utility. I mean cmon’, no video, no MMS, etc. Apple?!

Scanlife.com the new barcode for the digital age

June 2nd, 2008

Scanlife.com has developed mobile apps for “scanning” EZcodes. EZcodes look like a future-barcode and can contain all sorts of valuable information that is directly applicable to your mobile device offering a new level of interaction and brand experience. I’m SOOO developing some of these and can’t wait for iPhone 2.0, which, presumably will support this WITHOUT hacking your phone.
